Fill out the form

Objective of the call

The objective of this action is to support the effective implementation and coordination of the Cybersecurity Skills Academy established under the DIGITAL Work Programme 2023–2024.

The Cybersecurity Skills Academy acts as an overarching initiative integrating activities in cybersecurity education and professional training. This topic aims to strengthen cooperation between relevant projects, initiatives and stakeholders active in cybersecurity, education and training, thereby creating added value and helping to address the cybersecurity labour market gap.

Scope of activities

This coordination and support action builds on the previously funded action under DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05-CYBERACADEMY. It will bring together actors across cybersecurity, education, training and policy to reinforce and optimise cooperation.

The action is expected to:

• Organise and implement capacity building activities such as workshops, training sessions and peer learning activities to foster collaboration between public authorities, policy-makers, researchers, education and training experts, industry stakeholders and social partners.
• Support exchange of best practices in areas including skills needs analysis, curriculum design, micro-credentials, apprenticeship programmes, cyber campuses and train-the-trainer initiatives.
• Communicate and disseminate the results of these activities, including through the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform.
• Promote exchanges and synergies between the Cybersecurity European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (EDIC), Member States (including National Coordination Centres – NCCs), the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), ENISA and other relevant stakeholders.
• Support the European Commission in monitoring and implementing the Cybersecurity Skills Academy by assessing progress, providing recommendations and identifying lessons learned for policymaking.
