🛡️ Digital Strategy - Europeans call for stronger online safety measures

A new Flash Eurobarometer shows that Europeans want stronger EU action on children’s online safety, democratic resilience, defence and the clean energy transition.

The results highlight growing public concern about cyberbullying, harmful content, online grooming and misuse of children’s personal data, reinforcing the need for safer digital environments across Europe.

🌍 EU–India Partnership - Stronger cooperation in trade, technology and research

The EU and India held the third meeting of their Trade and Technology Council, strengthening cooperation on strategic technologies, innovation and resilient value chains.

The partners agreed to start formal negotiations on India’s association to Horizon Europe, while also advancing cooperation on clean technologies, startups, semiconductors, AI, quantum, 6G and high-performance computing.

💾 Semiconductors - €659M German State aid approved for new facilities

The European Commission has approved €659 million in German State aid to support four new semiconductor facilities.

The investment will help strengthen Europe’s chip production capacity, support strategic autonomy and reinforce the EU’s position in critical technology value chains.

🌾 EU Agriculture - Simpler rules for agri-food promotion policy

The European Commission has adopted simpler rules for EU agri-food promotion policy, reducing administrative and financial requirements for beneficiaries and Member States.

The changes include more time to conclude contracts, higher pre-financing and fewer reporting obligations, making EU-funded promotion programmes easier to implement.

🏥 EIC / EISMEA - New partnership to support health innovators

EMA and EISMEA have signed a Letter of Intent to help Europe’s health innovators better understand regulatory requirements earlier in the development process.

The partnership will support innovators in moving from discovery to patient access by improving regulatory guidance, reducing uncertainty and strengthening the path to market for health technologies.
